Mark Sweetnam Running sound for the band is almost a full-time job. Fortunately, playing bass is really easy, so it's not that hard to do both at once. After all, a bass has only four strings and really big frets. If you've got big hands and enough brain power to remember 8 notes, guess what? You're a bassist! Besides, if Michael Anthony can play the thing, anyone can. So... when you're at one of our gigs and the sound is good, come on up and give me a big compliment. If it sucks, remember, my brain is only well-equipped enough to handle about six notes, and I have a mild case of Attention Deficit Disorder. My former bands include Less Than Serious, Jeez LaWeez, and Without a Trace. I'm also the bassist for Concord Church - a very large church in South County where I play two services every Sunday morning - one with a praise band and the other with a full orchestra. It's kinda rough getting up early after long Saturday night gigs, but it's more than worth it. Come check us out sometime! My influences include Peter Tork, Danny Partridge, and, of course, Josie
(of Josie and the Pussycats).
